Dear A.Wandee,
How are you? Long time no see, I hope you and Pronurse are doing well. I'm Ida, still remember me?I just want to email and give you update about what's going on in my life. I'm still working in Parkland Medical Center in Derry, New Hampshire. My life is doing very well. This year is my golden year, I work and save enough funds to open a convenient store in Thailand which is run by my family and then this month on May 12, 2011 I recieved the highest career award in my life for being a nurse, NURSE OF THE YEAR 2011 of Parkland Medical Center, my family is so proud of me, I couldn't believe that I have recieved this honor award because I'm an Asian nurse and I'm the only Thai nurse in this hospital. I am so very happy to pass the nclex for the first time.
I write this letter to thank you and all of the teachers
who taught and gave me a lof of nursing knowledge when i was in thailand.
I can say that i pass the Nclex test at the first time because of pronurse school.

I work at Alaska Regional Hospital on Monday through Friday,
8 hrs a day (40 hrs/week). My hourly base is $ 41.70. I get paid double if normal working day is a holiday and i also get paid double if holidays falling on Saturday and Sunday.
I can say that i have the best opportunity in America because of you and your Pronurse School.

It all began with the Pro Nurse Organization (PNO) in Bangkok. Siridit wanted to raise our son in America. And to do so she needed to establish her RN credentials so that she could help support the resettlement of our family in America.
For more than one half year Siridit commuted from Lop Buri to Bangkok each weekend to learn the skills of nursing in English. While she studied I prepared for the move of our family. Once Siridit passed her NCLEX we would be able to live anywhere in America. It took a lot of research to select a city where Siridit had a good chance to get gainful employment as an RN. I selected Spokane Washington in the American Northwest for several reason ; an abundance of hospitals, fair cost of living and good schools for our son. Her diligent studying in Spokane paid off. She passed her NCLEX examination on the first try. But while she studied for NCLEX she also studied for a Nurse Assistant position so that she could work at a lesser job while waiting for her NCLEX examination date. Siridit passed her NAC examination with flying colors and was hired immediately as an NAC. It was a starting point. Upon receiving her RN license after passing NCLEX she moved on to gain employment with the State of Washington as an RN working with the developmentally delayed.
The entire process of moving to a new country was an ordeal but well worth the effort.
As we move forward with life in America we reflect back to the start. The long weekly commutes to Bangkok and the hours, days, weeks and months of studying with ProNurse. This foundation of knowledge allowed Siridit to earn her RN license in America. Thank you ProNurse. You made our successful relocation to America possible.

สวัสดีค่ะ..อ.วันดี
ไม่ทราบอาจารย์ยังจำหนูได้รึเปล่านะคะ..หนูเปิ้ลที่อยู่ San Diego ไงคะอาจารย์
หลังจากไม่ได้ติดต่ออาจารย์นานมากตั้งแต่ปีก่อนแน่ะค่ะ..อาจารย์สบายดีนะคะ
วันก่อนตกใจเลยค่ะ..เข้าไปใน pronurse.net มีคนออนไลน์อยู่ 400 กว่าเกือบ 500 คน! OMG! (Oh my Goshhh!)
หนูดีใจด้วยค่ะอาจารย์..อยากให้ pronurse เติบโต..รุ่งเรืองยิ่งๆขี้นไปค่ะ..
ตอนนี้หนูทำงานอยู่ IMCU/Telemetry ตามคำแนะนำของอาจารย์และอาจารย์กัลยา(พี่แตน)เป๊ะเลยค่ะ..ว่ามาใหม่ๆคงไม่ได้ทำ ICU แน่นอน
แต่ควรจะเริ่มจาก med/surg หรือไม่ก็ tele ก่อน..ซึ่งก็เป็นผลจริงๆค่ะ
โดยหลังจากสอบ ACLS,BLS ก็ไป RN refresher program ต่ออีก 4 เดือนฝึก clinical ที่ Kaiser Permarnente ค่ะพอจบก็สมัครงาน..ที่แรกก็ได้เลยค่ะ
ตอนนี้หนูทำอยู่ที่ Tri-City Medical Center, San Diego ค่ะเป็นรพ.ขนาด 399 เตียงและมี union คล้ายกับที่ Kaiser ค่ะ ซึ่งตอนนี้มีความสุขกับการทำงานมากค่ะ (ที่มีความสุขก็เพราะได้ตังค์เยอะนี่ล่ะค่ะ อิอิ)
ตอนนี้ facebook กำลังมาแรงค่ะ..เพื่อนๆพยาบาลที่ไทยเค้าก็สนใจถามกันใหญ่ว่าเราสอบ nclex ผ่านได้ยังไง..ผ่านยากมั๊ย....แล้ว visa อเมริกา ปิดแล้วจริงมั๊ย..เปิ้ลก็บอกเค้าว่าเปิ้ลไปติวที่ pronurse..และที่ pronurse นี่แหละที่ทำให้เปิ้ลสอบผ่าน..ส่วนเรื่องมาอเมริกา..เปิ้ลก็บอกเค้าว่าตอนนี้วีซ่าปิด..(สอบ NCLEX ผ่าน ยังขอ กรีนการ์ดได้ แต่ต้องรออยู่ที่เมืองไทย) แต่ไม่ใช่จะหมดโอกาส..อยากให้เพื่อนๆติดตามข่าวรวมทั้งทาง pronurse ก็มีข้อมูลการทำงานของประเทศอื่นๆ อย่างเช่น UAE ที่น่าสนใจมากๆ อยากให้เพื่อนไปลองดู..และที่สำคัญค่าเรียนที่ pronurse 26,000 บาท..เรียนได้ทั้งปี..เป็นค่าเรียนที่ถูกที่สุดและดีที่สุดในโลกแล้วค่ะ..
คิดถึงอาจารย์มากเลยค่ะ..คิดถึงวันเก่าๆที่ pronurse ค่ะ..
ถ้าไม่มี pronurse ไม่มีอ.วันดี..คงไม่มีวันนี้จริงๆค่ะ

สวัสดีค่ะ อาจารย์วันดีที่รักและเคารพ
หนู กาญจนาค่ะ หรืออ.ชอบเรียกชื่อเดิมหนูคือพรชนก
เพิ่งได้รับเมลล์จากพี่บุศรินทร์ พี่เขาบอกว่าอ.อยากดูรูปคนสวย(smile)
ตอนนี้หนูทำงานที่ telemetry unit ของ Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center ที่นิวยอร์คค่ะ
งานก็สนุก ทำ12 ชม/วัน 3-4 วัน/วีคค่ะ
อยากจะแนะนำเพื่อนๆ และน้องๆว่าภาษา ก็สำคัญไม่ยิ่งหย่อนไปกว่า NCLEX ค่ะ เพราะเราต้องสื่อภาษากับผู้ป่วย ผู้ร่วมงาน
หนูมีปัญหามากเลยค่ะเรื่องภาษาเพราะนอกจากสำเนียงไม่ได้แล้ว(เพราะพูดไทยมาเกือบค่อนชีวิต) คำสนทนา ที่พูดประจำวันหนูก็ยังเข้าไม่ถึง
คนไข้ที่คุ้นกันหน่อยเขาก็จะบอกเราตามตรงว่าเราพูดเหมือนอ่านหนังสือ(อ.ยุ้ยไม่ต้องเสียใจนะคะ ที่ลูกศิษย์ไม่เก่งดั่งใจอาจารย์)..
หนูส่งรูปน้องอิ(เยาวภา)มาด้วยค่ะ ตอนนี้เขาพูดเป็นไฟแลบ สำเนียงเหมือนทางนี้เลยค่ะ
หนูหวังว่าอีก3ปีข้างหน้าหนูก็คงปร๋อ อย่างน้องอิบ้าง
ส่วนน้องอีกคน(ชลนิตย์) เพิ่งสอบผ่านเมื่อเดือนที่แล้วเก่งมากเลยค่ะ เพราะทำแค่ 75ข้อ คอม ก็ปิด
ก็เลยพากันไปฉลองค่ะ ตอนนี้น้องเขาทำงานที่ห้องผ่าตัดที่ mount sanai, nyc,
ขอบพระคุณอ.ที่ยังเป็นห่วงถามไถ่ทุกข์สุขเสมอมา และฝากบอกพี่ๆ เพื่อนๆ น้องๆ ทุกคน ให้พยายามอย่าท้อถอยนะคะ เพราะผลที่ได้คุ้มค่าจริงๆค่ะ
